KUSHANO-SASANIANS. Unidentified King, circa 230. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 2.20 g, 3 h), probably in Balkh. KWSAN MLKA MLWY MLKA ('Kushan King Merv King' in Pahlawi) Draped bust of king to right, wearing crown in form of bird with fishtail and his hair with large bun. Rev. Anahita, on the right, standing facing, head to left, wearing mural crown, holding long scepter in her left hand and presenting the crown of the Kushan kings to the king, on the right, standing facing, head to right, wearing crown in form of bird with fishtail, raising his right hand in gesture of acceptance and placing his left on hilt of sword. ANS Kushan 2140. Extremely rare. Some light scratches and with minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
